@mj The street my old office was on was a favored spot for Canada geese. They’d block traffic as they strolled across the road and they hung out in the grass near our parking lot. There were so many and they were so close that the building’s management sent out periodic emails telling us how to avoid being attacked by one and what to do if we were.
I once second-hand hit one–the car ahead hit it and it flew up over their car and landed in the road so fast I couldn’t swerve. Luckily, it didn’t damage my car, but I did have to clean the feathers out of the grille. The bird ended up on the shoulder. When I drove back to see if it was dead, I couldn’t get over how big it was. You kind of know they’re big, but seeing one up close was a surprise.
