I feel like I should clarify the write-up. I’d hate to be called out on meaningless trivia.
I haven’t been featured 11 times; It’s only been 6. But since the general rule of thumbs for Mediocritee is a pair of shirts per offer, I should have 12 total designs to my name here. But I have 15. Why? Because my first outing, in the VERY early days of Mediocritee (May 2019) I had 5 shirts in a single sale.
So having an odd number of designs is what makes me special. And what’s with the 11? No idea, other than the obvious.
Thanks for the selection, team. I hope folks enjoy the nostalgic mashup.
@Willijs3 The distressing (or “wrinkles”) is part of the design, to reinforce the vintage nature of the subject matter. It’s pretty subtle and looks great on the shirt.
N64 Vader, SNES Stormtrooper. Guess we know how ACraigL feels about Nintendo. But which competitor is the rebellion and who is the scoundrels? Does this make Atari the Separatists? So many questions. I want more cross-lore.
@simplersimon Nintendo made (in my experience) the most fun I can recall with their consoles. I have such fondness for the the all-night game-fests on the on the original NES and discovering easter eggs with my son while playing Pokemon Snap on the N64. Ah, good times!
@ACraigL Glad to hear it. N64 is still my favorite controller of any system, and not just for the sheer audacity of the three-handed design. SNES probably has my fondest memories because my parents were working a children’s home at the time. Between the countless tournaments we had (NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat, all sorts of crazy racing games), the weekend we all spent watching my dad play through Link to the Past, and the multiple times playing through Secret of Evermore (I love that game way too much), any other system has a tough road to beat it as my favorite nostalgia machine.
@vdeogmer It’s not a bad call out. I chose this variant to give it that small splash of color that I think is so fun with these designs. I don’t think it takes away from the recognition in any way.

Are the texture “wrinkles” in the SNES Trooper part of the actual design? Or is it an after effect to give me an idea of what it looks like on fabric?

I am not quite nerdy enough to be able to identify the controllers
Anyone know which ones these are?
@mj N64/Vader and SNES/stormtrooper
@mj @simplersimon Nailed it.

What’s with the reference to Voldemort when you pick the shirt?
@osiris3mc Just a coincidence there. Darth Vader is the “Dark Lord of the Sith”. I just call it Darth Gamer personally.
@ACraigL Thanks! Somehow I did not know this!
Misses the mark for me.
I had an SNES. The buttons on its controller were two different shades of purple, not the multitude that were in Japan and Europe.

So you’re just getting the Vader one then?
