@bdb It is hard to know what is underrated. When I go to my nephew’s house and he has all these systems and many more in his game room/office. All I got for gaming is a PS3 and a computer that needs to be replaced/massively upgraded.
@yakkoTDI For having debuted a couple of months after the first GameBoy, I’m surprised how poorly it did against it. I guess battery life is more important than a color backlit screen.
@blaineg Can you give me a brief rundown on the replacement screens? I have not turned mine on in years and years. I am guessing it needs a new screen. Are there any to choose from?
@bdb It’s an upgraded screen, not a required maintenance part. From what I’ve read the power regulation parts, and the usual capacitors, are the common maintenance items. console5.com has them.
There are two options I know of for screen upgrades (better color & contrast, and LED backlight). McWill was the first; and BennVenn second, and possibly better, definitely cheaper. McWill is about $110, BennVenn $70, but ships from Australia.
McWill has a VGA output option, if that matters to you.
TurboGrafx-16!!
@yakkoTDI Awesome system? Absolutely, I own one. But it is widely known and praised, so I am not seeing it as underrated.
POKER! JOKER! NOT MEDIOCRE! AWESOME!

@mediocrebot Go away Mediocrebot you’re drunk and the ants are looking for you.
Who broke the ant keyword?
WonderSwan!
Specifically the SwanCrystal version.
@lilpaox I see your waterfowl and raise you one Fairchild Channel F.
Atari Lynx. How many even know what it is?
@blaineg Atari’s handheld system.
@blaineg Own one still
@bdb I dug mine out last week, and was surprised to find that I have four of them. I probably picked up #3 & #4 to be able to play ComLynx games.
I’ve ordered screen upgrades for the Lynx 1 and one of the Lynx 2’s. Also a multicart.

EDIT: Or Pong. Yes I know it’s a single game, but it was the original console.
